Bonjour tout le monde!!

Today was the first pretty chill day we've had so far. Our first class was Management and Innovation, and it got changed from 8:30-12:30 to 9:30-11:30 because our professor had a prior commitment. Today it was nice to start later and have a short class, but the next two classes will start at 8 to make up for it and that will be rough. All we did today was make a presentation about a reading we had over the weekend. After we finished we planned our trip this weekend to the coast! One of my bucket list items is to see the Mediterranean, so I'm really excited.

We had an exceptionally long lunch break, so Talia, Andrea, and I went to the supermarket and got some things we needed. We got some of the best strawberries I've ever eaten too. After we dropped things off at our apartment, the three of us went to one of the dining halls for lunch. I got an apple, some french fries, and a wrap. Overall, the dining hall food here is pretty good.

After lunch, we went to the library and found a study room. We don't have any homework yet, so we used the wifi and journaled a bit. It stormed for awhile, and our room had big windows to watch the rain.

(today we made a pact to take more random pictures, hence the picture in the library stairwell)

At 2 pm we had our French Culture class. Our professor assigned us groups so that we could discuss different topics about our own countries. Today we talked about language, families, work, relationships, and love. It is really interesting to see what is considered "normal" in different countries.

After class, Andrea and I took the bus to a different part of town because I needed to go to a phone store. Long story short, they couldn't do what I was hoping for, so I found another solution. Andrea and I walked around a little bit and shopped in some stores. We went to Monoprix again, and looked more in depth at everything since we didn't have the boys with us.

We took the bus back to our apartment and chilled for a little bit. I made us some pasta and we cleaned up around the apartment. We also tried to do some laundry, but it's more confusing than we thought, so that will be a tomorrow problem.

Around 10 we headed to the bar on campus, K-Fêt. You can get a membership, and drinks cost less. It's funny to me how open drinking on campus is here, since the drinking age is 18. The boys met up with us and we talked for awhile, and headed back to the apartment around midnight.

Today was a more relaxed day than some recently, but overall another fantastic day in Lyon.

À plus tard,

Maggie
