Bonjour tout le monde!
Today was a pretty typical day. We had our French language class in the morning, and we found out we had to give a presentation. I'm in the group that knows some French, and awhile back we had to go tour a neighborhood in Lyon and pepper a presentation for the rest of the kids on the trip. We had visited Confluence, but never made the powerpoint. We spent a couple hours creating our presentation. It went pretty well I think, everyone seemed interested in our information.
For lunch, we went to "the grill" again. This time I got fried fish and potatoes, and a coffee mousse. This was one of my favorite meals from INSA yet honestly.
In the afternoon, we had Management and Innovation. We were introduced to the Business Model Canvas, and we filled one out for our projects. I like the concepts of this class but we get a little bored sometimes.
After class, we had free time the rest of the day. Talia's host family had given her a list of restaurants to try, so we decided to pick one off of there and try it out. The first one we tried needed a reservation, so we ended up picking a Mexican restaurant from the list. I got a margarita and some tacos. All around the food and the atmosphere were fantastic.
After dinner, we walked around the city center and stopped at an ice cream place. I got bubblegum ice cream in a waffle cone, and it added the fantastic food I had today. We continued the night with just walking around the city and enjoying the views.

We decided to go up to the basilica on the hill of Lyon. We went there on my very first day here but we hadn't been back yet. To get there, you have to take an incline that reminds me a ton of the inclines in Pittsburgh, which always makes me happy. When we got to the top of the hill, everything was shut down for the night. We turned around and took the incline back down the hill, and decided to just take the train home.
A pretty casual, but always amazing, day.
À plus tard,
Maggie
